Essentials

Who?
I'm a full-time private tutor, and former PhD student of particle physics, with an MSci in Theorectical Physics from the University of Durham. I have seven years experience of teaching undergraduate physicists at a local university and some recent experience of teaching material equivalent to A level maths at a local college. Through a tutoring agency I have been recently CRB checked.
What?
AS, A2 and IB physics and maths. I enjoy explaining subjects in new ways, solving problems and building confidence with students. All syllabuses are a little bit different, but whatever's on your syllabus, I can help you understand it!
Where?
At your home or mine. You are very welcome to visit me for each tutoring session, or I am able to visit pet free homes within reachable distance, e.g. Egham, Staines, Egham Hythe, Thorpe Lea, Englefield Green.
Why?
Tuition enables us to tackle problems with one-to-one attention. Whether you wish to improve grades for university entry, ensure you are reaching your potential, compensate for missing a period of school/college, or a myriad of other reasons, with tutoring you can gain extra practise and personalised feedback.
How?
Just get in contact to talk about your needs and if you're happy we can arrange a convenient time for your first tutoring session. It is helpful if you can bring along any books you are using and perhaps past work you have had difficulty with. Think about what topics or particular questions you'd like to cover. The content of tutoring sessions can be completely directed by you and tailored to your individual requirements.

Past Tutees

My daughter was two terms away from sitting very complex International Baccalaureate exams for Higher Physics. Her teacher had been ill for a long time at school and we turned to Clare for help. All it took was a weekly session at Clare's house and my daughter passed with flying colours! She's now reading Physics at Imperial College. It doesn't get much better than that, does it?"
